A Right Royal Wedding…Who got it right….

Philippa Middleton
My little man has fallen in love this Miss Philippa Middleton and its not hard to see why! The beautiful maid-of-honour looks absolutely fabulous in a white slinky dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. Good for you Pippa…I bet she’ll be snapped up and married within a year to foreign royalty. Hot gal.

Carole Middleton
I’m a big fan of Carole Middleton. The mother of the bride looked beautiful and happy in a light blue wool crepe coatdress by Catherine Walker and a hat by Berkshire-based milliner, Jane Corbett. Everything about this this outfit is right…I’m soo pleased for Carole and the rest of the Middleton clan, who have transformed from former coal miners to royalty as the very axis of their world -changed and turned -rewriting this very humble family’s history. xxx

The Queen
Lovely, soft and happy, -our Queen Elizabeth II wore a sunshine yellow ensemble in her failsafe style, -simple, neat and to-the-point, what’s not to love?

Charlene Wittstock
Prince Albert of Monaco’s fiancée, Charlene Wittstock hit the right note in her understated grey Akris ensemble -neat and to the point. I’m not really feeling the hat though.

Miriam Gonzalez Durantez
I’m a big fan of Miriam Gonzalez Durantez. She not only looks like a ball-breaker but is a role model. Unfortunately the wife of Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg dress was a huge let down. Tacky, with cheap looking material -her polka-dot ensemble was far too cha,cha,cha for this high-end wedding -As for that turban corsage thingy on her head -it’s a shame, because I was excited and expected to see some uber Spanish fashion fierceness…

Crown Princess Victoria…
Look what love has done to -sorry, -done for Crown Princess Victoria…Wow she’s all grown up and lovely… nude, on nude -very daring indeed!

Tara Palmer Tomkinson
Colour-blocking gone mad -me thinks. Its ok, just a bit tooo mature and matchy-matchy for me. But its good to see her soo  happy, she’s been through soo much. Love to you Tara xx

Victoria Beckham
Queen Vicky wore her own label and a Philip Treacy hat, -yes it looks a bit funeraly but she’s pregnant and its not easy to really dress-up when your in this condition but I love it all the same… Go Vicky

The Princesses of York
Princess Eugenie of York
I feel for Princess Eugenie! She looks uncomfortable in her Vivienne Westwood dress. It made her look uber matronly, a look I sometimes suffer from. The only way around this is to go for darker colours and simple cuts… bless her.

Princess Beatrice of York
Princess Beatrice’s been slated for this Valentino haute couture gown and hat combo but I like it. Nude is still hot and she looks demure.. Good for you Bea.

Samantha Cameron
Apparently our Sam was underdressed because she didn’t wear a hat…what? I think that for a woman of a certain age and power -she managed to look both young and fresh in her pleated teal dress by Burberry. She wore a necklace by Erdem and nude shoes. just lovely…where’s the baby weight?

Chelsy Davy
I was soo disappointed with Chelsy Davy. What was she thinking? Where is fun Chelsy? Ms Davy looks erm dowdy and tired in her aqua Alberta Ferretti skirt and jacket with grey lace hat by Victoria Grant. I still love her though.

A very Christian Wedding for a once great Christian Nation…

£175.00 -The Holy Bible, Magenta Collection by Smythson

**I really enjoy being good! I really enjoy buying/paying for the right train tickets no matter how costly. I enjoy saying don’t worry as I wait in queues behind the slow and the less able! I’m pleased to say it ok as the angry and hurried push and bump into me -and saying hello/good morning and what a lovely day to my neighbours etc -all the things that used to kill me in my twenties. But mostly, I enjoying authority -the very thing that used to send me into a tailspin -and I put it all down to my Christ Lord Jesus -and my faith in God, whom I am pleased to say was truly Glorified in the wedding ceremony of the year.

Feeling uber proud to be black/Ghanaian-British -I found the service to be both beautiful and highly emotional. It reminded of England -of-old, it’s great past (and the other stuff -but lets not go there today) -and of its very great Christian past. A past that respected, acknowledged, magnified and honoured God! Majestic, neat and grown up -the service word by word was utterly beautiful. Why aren’t churches in this great nation filled on Sundays? Because, and I’m guessing now, -there was less crime, less disrespect and more hope. And that’s what this wedding represented to me -hope!

The majesty of Westminster Abbey, the lovely service, Kat’s regal dress and Wills army uniformed -all added to the splendour of the occasion but for me it was the words and prayers of the traditional service that moved me the most -making me feel hopeful that all will be alright! From the lovely words of Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer by Peter Willkims (1726-94)

Guide me, O thou great redeemer,
Pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but thou art mighty,
Hold me with thy powerful hand;
Bread of heaven, bread of heaven
Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more

To the reading by Kate’s brother James from Romans 12 Verse 1-21

1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,

5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;

7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;

8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.

20 On the contrary:

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good

To the lovely lesson by one of the priests who quoted;

“Be who God made you to be then you shall set the world alight” -an extract by St Catherine… -was all sooo breathtakingly exquisite. All pointing to a time when England included God in all it great affairs -and prospered -for it. Its sort of made me fall more in love with God (if that is possible) and made me uber proud to be a fashionable Christian. I’m going to find out whether its possible to get my Smythson bible blinged-up with Swarovski crystals.. Bless to you all. XXXX For more details about the above Bible visit: http://www.smythson.com/

And the bride wore McQueen……

The ever beautiful Kate Middleton now the Duchess of Cambridge did not disappoint! Her lovely glossy hair was beautifully adorned with a delicate veil made from layers of soft, ivory silk tulle and decorated with hand-embroidered flowers. -Her make-up was dark eyed poppingly -fabulous and the DRESS, -spot on! Opting for the most beautiful, subtle, exquisite and uber elegant light ivory and white dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen -Kate’s true personality shown through. -A delicate cornucopia of ivory and white satin gazar, lace appliqué bodice, feminine neckline and a 9ft train, -the tiara, -a ‘something borrowed’ from the late great Queen mother is vintage Cartier -making for a more regal and grown up Kate. The whole look was romantic, timeless and classic. Congratulations and God’s Blessings to Prince William and Kate Middleton now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge from Fashion et al. xxx

Khloe Kardashian’s closet in Elle magazine

“I love all of my shoes! It is a must to have them color coordinated, and to be able to see each and every one of them. I know exactly where each one lives and I can tell if one has even been moved! It definitely helps to put one shoe facing front, and the other to the back. It saves space, but it is also nice to be able to see the back-side of the shoe. I am an organization freak!”

“What can I say, I love bling! I’m drawn to anything that sparkles. These shoes are my Sex and the City shoes—I actually wore them when the Lakers won the Championship last year. And my phone…my office is not complete without this beautiful thing! My bling phone makes business calls nearly stress free.”

“These shoes are beyond words. Mr. Louboutin just does it right—he knows how to make women’s shoes the entire outfit. I literally create most of my outfits around my shoe collection.”

“When I saw this Balenciaga bag, I had to have it. The style is classic Balenciaga, but the print makes it so special. These Alaïa boots are fresh and they boast my signature leopard vibe.”

 “I would not have my closet any other way but color coordinated! It makes getting dressed in the morning much easier, and makes your closet appear much cleaner.”

“My dining room is all about Marilyn Monroe. I searched high and low for a painting of her. Lamar and I are both fans, so a painting of her was something that would make my house complete. Diamond dust glazed over the top layer of paint was something I didn’t even know was possible. This painting adds so much glamour to my house; I will have it forever!”

Fashion et al Hearts Karrueche Tran

Karrueche Tran, Karrueche Tran, Karrueche Tran -her names sooo hot I had to print it thrice. Chris Brown’s new gal pal, Karrueche Tran is uber new to Fashion et al’s radar -but as she explodes over the pond, I’m predicting it wouldn’t be long until UK mainstream media (especially as most read fashion et al) -will be talking about this young fire-cracker. You can follow all of Mz Tran’s yummy happenings via twitter at: http://twitter.com/#!/karrueche

Angela and Vanessa for Fearless Magazine….

Photography: Cesare Ciardini via Trend Hunter…

Title: Cesare Ciardini Photographs Stars in the Moment

Although you may have thought that you’ve seen enough candid captures of celebrities, you will think differently once you lay your eyes on the work of one Cesare Ciardini. A photographer to the stars, he has captured some of the leading musicians and actors of our time.

More than that, however, Cesare Ciardini does so in style. His candid images are not just intimate, they are real, playful and full of life and expression. This Italian photographer seems to have won the hearts of those he has shot, since there is obvious trust exuding from his work.

From Kelly Rowland to Coldplay, stars have been captured by Cesare Ciardini for such publications as Rolling Stones Magazine, Vanity Fair and GQ. Cesare Ciardini has also shot campaigns for Lancia, Campari and Carrera. (Credit: Text and photos from: http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cesare-ciardini)

Beauty: Diana Ross’ Eyes….

There are moments in all our lives when we need to turn it on -and for me its always Diana Ross I channel. The 70’s Diana is my first point of call. -At her most fashion-fierce, Diana Ross’ eye make-up was to-live-for. Probably the most bodacious era, the dark, dark layered mascara look with its uber long individual lashes and lashings of eye make-up is right up my street -right now. Fashion et al is predicting that La Ross is the beauty industries next big inspiration.

I blame it all on Benicio Del Toro!

I spiralled out of control -today! I did the type of shopping I used to do before my bank manager cut up all my credit cards five years ago and I blame it all on Benicio Del Toro! I was minding my own business, chilling with my little man, when I sported the ever elusive Metro, took one and stumbled across a story that has left me feeling very, very weird! Kimberley Stewart is having del Toro’s baby it screamed and B4 u can say ‘Jack Rabbit’ my little man and I took a detour, headed west and all I can say is that if I had had a bit more money, -Selfridges would have been emptied! I can’t believe it! I soooooo didn’t know that I still had a crush on that actor! How long ago was Traffic? Anyway like I said I’m kind of weird at the moment and my mate -Mz jagger-jagger told me to get a life, and you know what, she’s right -and I promise to get one tomorrow but for tonight -I just want to wallow! Because even though I’ve been happily single for nearly seven years, -I still need that fantasy man thing!!! -Who am I going to fantasize about -now? HELP….xx
